The 2008 “Change in Congress Campaign”

Congressman Bill Young and the Bush/Cheney administration have failed to avoid a recession, bolster the dollar, make health care affordable, find a solution for immigration, get us out of the war, lower gas prices or improve our schools

• Bill Young is the #1 Republican irresponsible spender in the United States.
• He supports the war, torture and voted against closing down Guantanamo.
• He receives most of his campaign funding from PACs – especially defense contractors.
• He has voted against a woman’s “right to choose.”
• He supported government intervention in the Terri Schiavo case.

• He supports tax breaks for multi-national corporations and lobbyists.
• If re-elected this term he will have been in public office (Florida State Senate and U.S. Congress) longer than Fidel Castro – is this healthy for a democracy?
• According to the St. Petersburg Times, Congressman Bill Young’s “senior slot on the defense subcommittee puts him in a prime position” to continue President Bush’s failed war plan.
